PROGRAMMING

Over the years I've developed a tremendous interest in object oriented programming. So much, in fact, that I wish to make my career entirely based on working in the field. My sophomore year in high school I took my first object oriented programming course which centered around Visual Basic 6.0. From the first day I took off with the course, most likely thanks to both my summer-time dabblings and through the skills of my instructor. And so, I came to consider myself a king in Visual Basic 6.0 and desperately wanted to learn more languages. The following year I enrolled in the second (and final) programming course offered by my high school where I developed a very keen interest in working with Java - which I still constantly work with today.

I like to consider myself a talented programmer. I've worked with many different aspects of object oriented programming ranging from GUI coding (from scratch obviously!) and database structures to networking interfaces, so, I'd say I've had a decent amount of experience, but no where enough to really be considered a pro and I admit I have very much to learn. This is why next fall I'll be attending the University of Wisconsin: Madison to continue studying the field of computer science (emphasizing on the programming aspect - not engineering).
