BIOGRAPHY
Before I go into depth, I would first like to welcome you to version three of my personal portfolio website. My name is Brian Martinson and I am an eighteen year old freelance web designer and computer programmer from Madison, Wisconsin. It has now been several years that I have been deeply entranced in computing and yet it feels as though I have just begun to learn all of the intricacies involved. When I was very young I recall playing games and simply experimenting and exploring the world of computing on an old Mac PowerBook laptop that my father had brought home from work. For countless hours I played with settings and looking back now, had my father not brought this laptop home, I doubt I would have such a strong interest in the field. And so for years I enjoyed the laptop and began to dream big.
It all really began to come together when I was thirteen years old. At the time my family had just harnessed the power of broadband internet speed and I entered the world of online gaming, largely thanks to my cousin. It was during this time that I also began to experiment with web design, which has obviously evolved to the point which you're seeing today. I absolutely fell in love with web design. Every aspect was enjoyable. I spent endless hours observing others' work and teaching myself the way - the beauty of the design and its functionality, to the, at the time, mysterious coding that went along with the design. And so, over the months and years my interest in design sprouted to include coding.
Once I entered high school I continued teaching myself as much about computing as possible while I began to take computer science classes. Not only was I learning more at one time than ever before, but I was having an absolute blast doing it. At this point now, I have graduated from high school and am currently attending the University of Wisconsin: Madison with the intention of continuing my studies in the field of computer science.
And so, this is where the story ends. At least temporarily. The future is ahead of me and I am extremely anxious to continue learning all that I can in the field of computer science.
